Welcome to the Rockdale County County Tax Commissioner’s property tax information site.
This site has been designed to allow taxpayers the option of paying their property tax bill over the internet. Please take
a moment to explore the site. Additional and more in depth information may be found at our “Link’s” site. Once you are ready
to pay your bill online, the pay bill link will take you to a secured payment site. Barring any technical difficulties, the
tax information provided by this site is updated in “real time”. Your payment should be reflected in the tax bill inquiry
section shortly after you submit the payment. Please follow all payment instructions carefully and double check all credit card,
debit card or bank check numbers for accuracy. Be sure to include your email address and your phone number.
Your email confirmation should indicate if there were any problems with the payment submission.
Any payments returned by your bank or credit card provider as unpaid will be subject to the dishonored payment laws of Georgia.
Returned payments and the applicable tax bill will be subject to all unpaid taxes, interest, penalty, collection fees and return
payment fees of $35.00 or 6% of the returned payment, whichever is greater.

Property Tax Information.
Property taxes are assessed and due each year. The Board of Assessors determines the value of your property. The State of Georgia,
Board of Commissioners and School Board determine their respective budgets and set the appropriate “millage” or tax rate. The Tax
Commissioner multiplies your value times the appropriate millage rate, less any exemptions, to determine your tax bill.
Property tax bills are mailed out each year usually by the first of September. Tax payments may be made in installments, but the
bill must be paid in full by November 15 of each year. Penalties and interest will be added if the taxes are not paid by the due
date. Delinquent taxes are charged interest at the rate of 1% per month. Once a bill becomes 30 days late it is subject to a tax
lien FiFa and if the bill remains unpaid for 90 days, a 10% penalty is added to the bill. Failure to receive a bill or a notice
does not relieve the tax payer of his or her obligation to pay the tax.
The taxpayer is responsible for notifying the Assessor of any address changes. Address changes must be submitted to the Board of
Assessor’s Office, 981 Milstead Avenue, Conyers, Georgia 300012. (770)278-7676.
